With A Gun (Pelham Greer)

from The Wrist vs The Futurist Party by Allegra Gellar

/

lyrics

you’re led away from crowds of people
then you’re pushed into the car
they fill you up with pills
...and alcohol
it’s a quick ride to the station
where you dread the plane that’s waiting
rush you to another dog and pony show
a useless speech for those who don’t believe the party anymore
the pills kick in
at the podium
once again your hoping
someone’s gotten in with a gun

the pills kick in at the podium
you hope that someone’s got a gun
the pills kick in at the podium
you hope your son is safely gone
the pills kick in at the podium
you hope that someone’s got a gun
the pills kick in at the podium
you hope they never hear his songs

Allegra Gellar Los Angeles, California

Jeremy Wilkins, Denver Bon, and GL3 were Allegra Gellar. Pez played bass from 2004-2006 and Olive played drums for a bit in 2007-2008. Dan played drums here and there. They made indie-rock, indie-folk, and folktronic music from 2003 till 2012.

In 2012 they completed their final album, The Secret Plans Of Men, and finally satisfied with what they'd done, promptly disbanded.
