Maybe You Won

from International Grey by Allegra Gellar

/

lyrics

you stack two five and come out swinging
instead of acting cool
she takes the bait and the game is over
screaming at the moon
you wake up drunk and can’t remember
if you ended as the fool

maybe you won
maybe you won
does it really matter after all that you’ve done

you fall down flat and the TV is static
but the floor is gonna change
her light burns bright in your darkest corners
she couldn’t heal your pain
you led this march and picked your battles
but you never changed her name

maybe you won
maybe you won
does it really matter when she’s already gone

you stack two five and come out swinging
as the floor begins to change
she takes the bait and the game is over
she couldn’t heal your pain
you wake up drunk and can’t remember
why you never changed her name

maybe you won
maybe you won
